The namesake of our Captain Porter, Captain William Field Porter, sailed into Port Lincoln on his brig Porter in 1839 with a grand vision for the region.  Whilst the man wasn’t described as deliciously smooth and malty, our Captain Porter is and we hope you enjoy it.

This is our most critically acclaimed beer with our first brews earning two silvers in this year’s Beer Awards.  Porters are dark beers and this one is malty with undertones of biscuit, coffee and chocolate.

Ingredients:

Malt: Maris Otter malt, crystal malts, roasted barley, raw barley from our family farm in Cowell
Hops: Fuggles
ABV: 4.5%
IBU: 20
